Search Engines Terms

22 05 2007

I’ve just been having a look at my blog stats and it turns out that I’m getting at least 2 views a day! Err….woot…!

I delved a little deeper and found a “Search Engine Terms” bit, which tell me what people interweb surfers were looking for in order to get sent to this here blog. Unfortunatly, it doesn’t tell me which search engine they got here from. Most probably Google, so I’m going to base my findings on that.

Here’s a list of searches for the past few days …

19th May – sunter
9th on the list according to Google. The 1st item is about some dude called Clem Sunter. No idea who the hell he is…

20th May – baldness sucks
Err, OK! Right at the bottom of page 1! Why the hell anyone would search for that is completely beyong me!

21st May – sunter x-box
OK, is somebody searching for me? Stalking me? Some nice fit woman who used to know me and wanted to see how I’ve let myself go? Email me!! Please!!

I’ve actually saved a bizare one until last. It’s also very disconcerting…

18th May – gem babestation
Gem f’ing babestation?! What the holy hell? Oh, wait, it’s gets even better. Searched through Google, and this here blog is right at the top of the bleedin’ page! Holy crap! WTFOMGBBQ!

Basically, the internet is a wierd and wonderful place aint it. I’ll probably spend the next hour or so searching for my name and see what wierd stuff Google spits back at me!

Oh, on a side note, I bet it’s a certain Mr Williams who’s been searching for Gem. No idea why he chose Babestation though. I wouldn’t let Gem go on there, and I don’t think she’s actually want to go on there either! You dirty little hobbit…

This week…

…I shall mostly be listening to Megadeth’s new album, United Abominations. I’ve just downloaded it from iTunes, and so far, so good (so what*)! The first track really gets you into the mood! The second track seems to have an Iron Maiden feel to it. And that’s as far as I’ve got with it so far!

I’m just burning it to CD now, so I’ll give you all a full rundown of trackage very soon!

–EDIT–
Oh! A track called Gears of War has just started! Roar baby!

*Megadeth fans will know what this means. Sorry…

Congratulations! The Official Word!

12 05 2007

I just wanted to make sure that the right people were told before I posted about this, so here goes…

Congratulations to Duncan and Claire! They’re pregnant!

The way that Duncan broke the news to us was quite amusing. We were having a video chat over Xbox Live, and he popped a picture on screen. Gem nearly screamed out and went “Is that an ultrasound?” The massive grin on Duncans face said it all really!

Judging by the way they had so much fun with Olivia, Danny and Sofie when we all had a holiday at Center Parcs, I’m sure that Duncan and Claire will make fantastic parents, and we wish them both all the best with their “little n00b”.  Oh, and it looks like it’ll be born close to my birthday too! *rings 30th October on the calender*

Oh, just realised…when Duncs said he hasn’t been about due to learning how to code websites, we know exactly what you’ve been doing ;)

Congratulations!

There are some congratulations in order, but at the mo I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say anything just yet! As soon as I get a reply from him, then I’ll post up the news!
