Happy Christmas!

Paul In New Post Shocker!

I know! I keep reminding myself to slap a new post on here, but things have been a trifle busy here at the moment. I’m just taking a few mins before it all kicks off again at work to give you readers (are there actually any?) a quick update.

We moved house last Friday! Out of the shitty terraced 2 bedroomed hole, and into a newly built 4 bedroomed house. Already, this new one feels more homely than the old one. I even have one of the bedrooms as my own little office. Yay for me! The kids are sharing a room at the mo, but we’ll be seperating them into their own rooms soon.

I need to shoot off (snigger), but I’ll be back later now that internet is restored at home, and I may even have some pics too!

2 go to school!

And that’s it! Both the kids have officially started primary school now! Olivia started her third year on Tuesday, and Danni started her first this afternoon. Gem also starts on Monday, but not as a student! She’ll be working as a Walfare Assistant, which I think is a posh name for a dinner lady!

Basically, she has to keep an eye out on all the kids during their dinner time, and make sure that stuff happens, or stuff that shouldn’t happen, not happen. Not sure if that made any sense! Probably not!

I think the point is that both kids are growing up at a massive rate, and we really should be taking more photos of the kids as they continue to grow. I just wish we had the time to do so, but even at the weekends we seem to be getting more and more busy.

Now in High Definition!

At long bloody last!

Last weekend we went and bought a 32″ High Def telly. A polaroid one. 400 quid. Not too shabby if you ask me! Speakers are a bit crap, but when I turn the Xbox 360 on…PHWOAR!

A while ago, I sold my PS3 on eBay, but the bloke who bought it wasn’t too happy with it, so that came back today. I took it down to Game and exchanged it for an Xbox 360 Elite! So I’ll be setting that up today and basking in pure High Def glory! I’ll slap some pics up at some point soon.

Next thing to think about though, is do I buy a HD-DVD player to go with it, or do I wait and see who comes out on top in the Blu-ray Vs HD-DVD war? I think I’ll wait for the time being. Next thing on the list to buy will be Sky HD.

I don’t know if I mentioned, but we’ll be moving house very soon! We’ve just bought a new house in Darwen. It’s only just finished being built ans we’re hoping to be in there in a couple of weeks, if not sooner. If only the builders solicitors would stop fucking us around. Tossers.

I suppose I’d better stop spending money until we’re moved in and settled!

Busy? You’d better believe it!

I know, not many updates recently! There’s a really good reason for that!

A/ Work is busy as hell at the moment. I’ve actually had a week off, but I’ve spent more time in the office than at home! Typical!

B/ We’ve been looking at a new house, and it looks like that all is going well. The mortgage application has gone through, paperwork is at the solicitors, and Gem’s started packing already. All we need now is the house to be built!

C/ The Tooth Fairy is now bankrupt, thanks to Olivia and her habit of loosing her teeth! We really can’y afford this kind of tooth-falling-outerage!

D/ Dani is still as clumsy as hell. A new bruise on her noggin, thanks to yet another fall onto the coffee table

That’s all for now, but I’ll have a bigger post very soon!

Oh, and Gem’s started to play Bomber Man Live, and even had a couple of goes on Gears Of War!

I’ve lost my car…

It’s gone. Thanks to Gem. She passed her driving test this morning.

You know what this means don’t you? I now have to de-mothball the bike, tax it, pass my theory test, and do my bike test. All because I’m a lazy sod and can’t be assed to walk anywhere!

3 years!

3 bloody years! Who’d have thunk it!

Me and Gem got married today, 3 years ago. Yoiks! Apparently, it’s also 10 years today(ish) that we first met too. I never thought I could have a relationship that would last more than 6 months! Going from past experiences anyway!

So tonight, we’re putting the kids to bed early, having a nice meal with a nice bottle of wine. Well, when I say a nice bottle of wine, I only have 3 quid in my pocket! The phones will be turned off, the telly will be off, and the Xbox, PS3, PC, iMac or any other techy things will also be turned off too!

Here’s to the next three years!

Yeah, you know it. Any little new “fad” that comes along on the internet just has to be dabbled with doesn’t it. Any messenger service, forums and chat rooms and the like. But now it all seems to be “social networking” sites. Something like this…

The above could be an example of the Twitter service, which myself and a few of my buddies have used, albiet briefly while we thought it was cool. Now it doesn’t get used so much. By me anyway

But now we have the likes of Facebook, and probably the many other variants of these services that are out there. So now, instead of the above example, we can now have the following. Probably using the Calender application…

But the really cool thing is though, is that you could take a picture of yourself having said dump (come on, you wouldn’t expect anyone to take the picture of you. Would you?) and then upload it onto Facebook for all your “friends” to see!

Isn’t “Social Networking” great! So great infact, that I actually went and signed up for this Facebook bollocks, and now have a profile on there, with pictures and everything. I even have two friends too! I’m just waiting to see how many random people will decide to come along and add me as their friend, citing reasons like “you r teh cool! wanna buy some viagra or a lady for the night?”

And no, I haven’t added any pictures of myself having a crap.

I checked my blog stats today and saw that I’ve had 500 views!

Is that a good thing? I have no idea. Probably is considering that this isn’t a major blog! Anyway…

New Game and a Live Night!

You may not see me around for a while. You see, I went and bought Forza 2 on the 360 last night. First impressions are kinda “WOW”ish. But the biggest thing for me is the design you can put on your car.

Like I said, I only got it last night, so the only thing I did was create a number plate for my 1st car. And do you know how long that took? Bloody ages! Anyway, Ladies and Gentledudes, I am proud to announce my first bit of car design…

OK, so it took me ages just to do the number plate, but it is relevant though dontcha think? Hmm, maybe I should repaint the car grey too…

Now onto the Live! night. Over at The Good, the Bald and the Stupid, we have this habbit of having an open night for our buddies were we also get complete strangers to join us in our games. We call it the GBS Live Night!
Tonight is a special Live night, as it’ll be the (only) last one that we can do on the Halo 3 Beta before it gets shut down!
